Carter buckles up for safety. :)
[Nathan] Carter has taught me a lot of things. Let me preface all the things he has taught me by saying that he is a great dog and I love him. Ok he has taught me that patience is not something that you just get, it is something that you work hard and have to beg God for daily. He has taught me that taking turns for who has to take him outside in the middle of the night doesn’t always work when only one person hears him cry. But I have realized I would rather be the tired one who does it than deprive Emily of sleep. Finally he has taught me to cherish and enjoy the little things. Carter is basically a 2-year-old now in dog years and he sure acts like it, but times like this picture where I see him just sitting outside enjoying nature remind me how good of a life I really have. I am so thankful for everything and for what God has shown me through this dog. Oops gotta go he is scratching at the door. Hopefully this picture will help you to do the same today!
Carter and Max playing. I think I might get to sleep the whole night.
Buddy met Carter today and Carter decided to take Buddy for a walk. Sorry about how dark it is. The sun had already set.
So I was trying to put my computer together and I was kneeling on the floor. I feel Carter doing something on my legs. I look back and he has fallen asleep on them. It is times like these that make up for the hard times. I love this dog.
Today we got our Christmas tree. We got blue spruce not knowing it was incredibly prickly, but as you can see in the video this is a good thing because Carter tries to bite it and stops cause it hurts. Who would have thought that would actually be a good thing.
Love these photos. I am excited for the day when Carter doesn’t feel the need to bite you and will instead cuddle.
[Nathan] So I am sitting working on my computer and I hear this sound. I can’t figure out what it is and then I look down and see that it is Carter. He keeps making the sound long enough for me to get video of it. This dog is too funny.
